In Phonics we have been revising the sounds that we have learned this year so far!
In English lessons we have completed our unit based on the Katie Morag stories! This week we have been creating leaflets to persuade people to come and visit the Isle of Struay! In our writing we have been trying hard to use expanded noun phrases and commas in a list.
In Maths we have been learning about addition and subtraction. We have been adding 3 numbers together mentally, using the strategy of looking for number bonds and re-ordering the numbers to help us.
In Humanities this week we have been looking at human and physical features, and have been comparing Muscat and Coll.
In Science we have been continuing to look at and describe different animal life cycles.
Please see Google Classroom for some photos of what we have been up to in Discovery Learning this week. We have especially enjoyed going on an atlas scavenger hunt, our DT challenge to build a pier (inspired by the story Katie Morag and the New Pier) and exploring our home countries and the UK on google maps!
Please check the google classroom each Sunday for full details of homework tasks

Please can we request that all children come to school on the day of their swimming lessons with the following equipment:
Swim Uniform in accordance with guidelines.
Swim hats for those with long hair. ALL hats must be secure on the head with no risk of slipping down over the face.
Goggles
Towel
Pool shoes (crocs or equivalent)
A waterproof bag to carry everything in.
Please see our Swimwear Guidelines on the website.
Please do not wear 'swim uniform' into school for hygiene reasons. Please do not wear an alternative gym or running kit for swimming lessons. It's important to use only 'Swim Uniform' and the recommendations listed above in the pool, as other fabrics become incredibly heavy when wet.
